Vacancy Announcement - Research Assistant for the Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency

The Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency is now recruiting a Research Assistant to support project management and implementation on energy efficiency. The successful candidate will join the Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency's international team of professionals in an interdisciplinary work environment that combines research, methodology development, capacity building and project implementation in developing countries.

The work will be carried out in collaboration with the Centre's management and the team of senior staff involved in the energy efficiency implementation solutions at local level. Specific tasks will include:

- Assistance with administrative tasks and technical support for energy efficiency implementation projects, namely in Latin America;
- Project technical and financial reporting;
- Webinar, workshops and conferences management and development;
- Data collection on energy efficiency in products, cities best practices and city energy efficiency regulatory frameworks;
- Research on behavioural economics and professional skills on energy efficiency in developing countries.

- MSc degree or equivalent in geography, engineering, economics, environmental sciences, or other discipline related to energy or climate change.
- Up to 3 years of experience on energy efficiency or climate technologies and/or policies work;
- Experience in working on energy efficiency or climate mitigation issues in Latin America is a pre-requisite;
- Familiarity and relevant work experience related to energy efficiency policies, technologies and best practices implemented at city or municipal level is an asset;
- Experience in planning and organising webinars, workshops and conferences on sustainable energy with an international audience is an asset;
- Experience with work with UN agencies and availability to travel is an advantage.

Languages: The working language at the Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency is English so working and spoken fluency is needed. Fluency in Spanish, spoken and written is required for the Centre's Latin America engagements. Knowledge of Danish would also be an advantage, since it is the working language of DTU.
